As of April 1, 2014, the CELPIP-G test will no longer be used as a test to prove English language proficiency. It will be replaced by the "CELPIP-General (CELPIP-G 2014)" test. After April 1, 2014, individuals wishing to use CELPIP results to prove English language proficiency must submit scores from a CELPIP-G 2014 test.
The CELPIP test is one of two English language tests (the other being IELTS) that are accepted as proof of English language proficiency for immigrationpurposes. The CELPIP exam is only administered within Canada.
The scoring system for the CELPIP-General differs somewhat from the previous test. For individuals who take the test on or after April 1, 2014, thefollowing scoring system applies:
